Charity Night 2008

This years Charity night raised over £350.It was held at The Cygnets, Ian and Clair very kindly closed their restaurant for the evening to allow us the room for the competitions and provided everybody with a Curry,Rice and Chip supper.

With approximately 60 competitors in a Darts 3 a Side and Singles Domino competitions it was the team from the Mytton Dave Lewis, James Carter and Andy Jones taking the first prize in the Darts, they donated their half of the money raised to the Children’s Rainbow Ward at the RSH. In the Dominoes, Margaret Coutts tasted victory and donating her half of the money to The Air Ambulance.

Nine Dart Challenge

In the 9 Dart Challenge Dave Lewis set a new league record by scoring 357.Derek Hughes showed some class scoring 78 with 9 darts (you could win a prize at the fair for that Yogi).In the final Lewis throwing last scored 246 to take the trophy.

Raffle

With many prizes donated, Andy (41) Jones won the main prize a dartboard & cabinet (Good job he needs the practice). Ernie Farmer won a case of John Smiths. Travelling back to the Stables with Martin Pope,John & Jeremy Delves I doubt there were many left when he got home. Little Yogi won the Coral Bookmakers vouchers and is going to put his money on the Mytton winning the Darts Challenge Cup (money down the drain).

I would like to thank everybody who attended the event and for those who donated raffle prizes.

The league has now raised over £1400 for good causes.
