Pdddl held their first darts and domino summer
tournament on Sunday 5th June 2005 at
Minsterley Parish Hall. The event was well attended with
over 100 competitors taking part. In the Darts, a strong line up was assembled with some of the areas best players taking part such as Steve O’Callaghan (Shrewsbury Singles Champion), Michael Gray (Pontesbury Singles Champion) , Vaughan Owens, Paul Ashworth Alex Booth, Dave Mills, Andy Jones, Ray Chidley, Paul Rowley and Ade Talbot plus many more taking part |

After 4
rounds of darts the semi-finalists were four locals Ray
Chidley – Snailbeach, Martin Cooke – Westbury,
James Elsey – Hanwood & Mervyn Davies –
Minsterley. It was James Elsey coming out on Top beating Mervyn Davies 4-0 in the final. James played some breathtaking darts during the day and was a well dreserved winner collecting the £250 first prize and Mervyn collecting the runners up prize £50. |

In the
dominoes it was an all ladies final between June Breeze
from Minsterley and Alice Price from Hanwood. Having both
played over 4 hours of dominoes to reach the final it was
eventually Alice coming out on top to take the first
prize of £250 with June receiving the runners up prize
of £50.00 Winner of the 9 Dart Challenge was Paul Rowley hitting 275 in the play-off final to win £25. |
